One Hit From Home

This won’t be a long review as the film is too rubbish to warrant one. It is about Jimmy Easton (David Aaron Stone) who is an injured ex-MLB player who has to coach a college baseball team to avoid jail. Along the way he starts to get life lessons to become a better person and overcome personal issues.

Here is why it is rubbish:

  1. The depiction of baseball is woeful. Just not realistic at all and the commentary they have during games is insanely bad.
  2. I would be a more convincing as an ex-MLB baseball player than David Aaron Stone and I am fat and Scottish.
  3. It came across as a lot of dialogue was being dubbed and not well at that – it could have been Pure Flix at fault as it isn’t a great streaming platform.
  4. It is very, very soapy.
  5. The acting is terrible.
  6. Half the cast are killed in car accidents. Sorry I know this is a spoiler but it doesn’t really matter. Maybe diversify the way to kill off people?
  7. The soundtrack is nasty with awful songs.
  8. I was hoping for way more cheesy religiosity and they couldn’t even do that!

Rating: 1 out of 5.
